The Thrive City String Boot Camp (TCSBC) is a summer retreat for young string musicians from diverse backgrounds, aimed at developing technically proficient, creative, expressive musicians who improve their community. Founded in 2011 by violinist and director John “Adidam” Littlejohn, TCSBC has presented 12 camps in 7 years, serving over 100 local and international young string players.
Each year we provide full and partial scholarships to gifted string students in need. Nearly half of our student body come from El Sistema outreach music programs in Canada and abroad. This summer, TCSBC is fundraising to provide 20 full-tuition scholarships for students to attend the Thrive City String Boot Camp.
